This is the NS400R finished in the Rothmans Honda team colours of Honda's 500cc Grand Prix effort, with the same 387 cc V3 two-stroke and chassis as the standard bike. Testers praised its midrange and top-end power and stable handling, but noted a stiff throttle return and heat reaching the rider through the fairing. It was not sold in the US.
